「田淵太郎展 月の陽炎」の4日目。


霊峰のごとく聳える窯変白磁花入。上部から流れるようにそぎ落とされた5つの面にドラマチックな焼成痕が映し取られています。茶碗にしても壷にしても焼き物の見どころには自然を凝縮したジオラマのような景色が見えてきます。それは見る人の心象風景であり、そこにどう自分が没入できるかが問われます。凍てつく山か、立ち昇る煙霧か、田淵太郎さんのこの花器に何を見るのか、お聞きしてみたいと思います。


This white porcelain vase with kiln-altered decoration rises like a sacred mountain. Dramatic firing marks are reflected on the five surfaces that have been scraped off in a flowing manner from the top. Whether it is a tea bowl or a jar, the sights of pottery are like a diorama of condensed nature. It is the viewer's mental landscape, and the question is how one can immerse oneself in it. We would like to ask Taro Tabuchi what he sees in this vase, whether it is a frozen mountain or a rising smoke cloud.
